In print, and in newsprint...again

A little freelance work from an upcoming book has found its way into the newspaper pages again. The Kansas City Star was the newspaper that inspired me toward a career as an illustrator, so it's kind of ironic to see works that were made for a book landing in the newspaper before the book is even published.

The book is called "Across the Wide Missouri," and should go to press sometime this summer. Each month, the Star will publish a pattern inspired by the person featured that month. February's story and accompanying pattern will print in the Star on February 16.

In the meantime, I'm working with some initial ideas on a couple of children's books. It will be a very interesting springtime and summer around here.
