lond.gifThe characters in this book journey the world, as seen below in the desert. Here they are in a shining city. They go other places too, but that will be seen soon enough. – lec

Dinosaurs again

dinoclip.gifPart of a poster that will appear in a magazine this summer....Hopefully I painted the dinosaurs just scary and cute enough for the young audience.

Sand and sea

sand.gifIllustrations are developing in every direction, but I'll just update an earlier sketch here for now.

A few dinosaurs have even crept back onto the drawing table in recent days. – lec

Springtime

colorblue.gifThe fish weren't biting a week back when we tested the waters, nevertheless the paper needed something to go with the coinciding seasons of fishing and basketball tournament brackets.

Still working with the fanciful, the historic and the nature books in the studio, each in turn. My mind is constantly turning between them. I look forward to holding the actual books and remembering this busy season. – lec

Seeking the fleetness of the deer

deerstudy.gifThe artwork is moving along, sometimes in little streams and other times in tidal waves. It's a little daunting to see at a glance how much work surrounds me and must find its way to completion in the coming months. Deer, puppies, ancient Mediterranean villages, and fanciful tales are coming to life.

A copy of the quilt book came to me today. Nothing like that new ink smell.
